"Low Drag Race"

At the 1964 running of the Le Mans 24hrs, just two Jaguar E-Types were entered - two very special E-Types. Both had been reclothed in unique bodywork to reduce drag and so both have become known as the Low Drag E-Types and are widely regarded as two of the most beautiful cars ever made.
49 FXN in British Racing green and 4868 WK in silver were both driven by a pair of Peters - Peter Lumsden and Peter Sargent in 49 FXN, Peter Linder and Peter Nöcker in 4868 WK. Sadly neither finished the endurance race, but the 1964 Le Mans remains a notable event in E-Type history.
